BROOKLYN, N.Y. (KLTV) – Former Van Vandal Hoss Brewer tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Brooklyn’s 8-1 win over Wilmington on Saturday.
The right-hander has a 4.74 ERA in 19 innings this season.
Brewer entered the game in the ninth inning. He got T.J. White to fly out to left field for the first out of the inning. After allowing a walk to Hunter Hines, Brewer got Randal Diaz to fly out and Teo Banks to line out and end the inning.
Brewer threw 17 pitches, seven for strikes.
Brooklyn (17-33) travels to New Jersey on Tuesday to begin a series against Jersey Shore.
