The TCS New York City Marathon kicks off Sunday morning.
Last year, a record number of runners finished the marathon — almost 56,000 — making it the largest marathon in the world.
More than 55,000 runners expected to take part in this year’s marathon, representing about 140 countries.
Ted Metellus, New York Road Runners chief event production officer and race director, joined anchor Rocco Vertuccio on “Weekends on 1” to talk about this years’ marathon.
