Thousands flocked to Bay Ridge Sunday for the 32nd annual Fun on 5th Festival that spanned 16 streets.

Fifth Avenue came alive with music, laughter and the aroma of street food on Sunday as thousands of residents and visitors packed Bay Ridge for the 32nd Annual Fun on 5th Festival, transforming 16 blocks of the neighborhood into one of Brooklyn’s largest and most beloved street celebrations.

Stretching from Bay Ridge Avenue to 85th Street, the annual street fair brought together families, neighbors and visitors for a full day of live entertainment, food, shopping and activities. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., festivalgoers enjoyed amusement rides, local vendors, community organizations and performances that highlighted the vibrant spirit of one of Brooklyn’s most beloved neighborhoods.
Hosted by the Bay Ridge Fifth Avenue Business Improvement District in conjunction with New York Presbyterian and the 68th Precinct, the festival continued a decades-long tradition of kicking off the summer season while showcasing the businesses and organizations that make Bay Ridge unique.

Throughout the day, Fifth Avenue buzzed with activity as attendees browsed vendor booths, sampled food from local eateries and enjoyed music from performers stationed along the venue. Children lined up for carnival rides and games, while community groups connected with residents and shared information about local programs and services.
Elizabeth Lovejoy, executive director of the Bay Ridge 5th Avenue BID, told Brooklyn Paper that they were “thrilled to showcase the very best of Bay Ridge.”
She also credited the festival’s success to the collaboration between sponsors, businesses, vendors and attendees.
“We are grateful to our sponsors, participating businesses, vendors and attendees who helped make this year’s festival a tremendous success,” she said. “Seeing Fifth Avenue filled with energy, shopping, dining and community spirit is exactly what makes Bay Ridge such a special place to live, work and visit.”

Now in its 32nd edition, Fun on 5th has become a neighborhood staple. Despite recent local business closures, the event’s continued popularity reflects Bay Ridge’s strong sense of local community.
