MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 42-year-old man was stabbed in Manhattan early Wednesday morning, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened near 360 West 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan.

According to authorities, around 2:05 a.m., police found the man stabbed once in the torso.

EMS transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.

Sources say an unknown individual escaped on foot, heading eastbound on 42nd Street.

Police say the suspect is a man last seen wearing dark colored pants and a white t-shirt.
