This morning, the Center for New York City and State Law will host “Big Things Happening in Queens,” a look into economic and infrastructure large-scale projects around the borough. New York Law School Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Institutional Strategy Matt Gewolb will offer opening remarks. Queens Borough President Donovan Richards will offer keynote remarks and Maya Handa, NYC’s 2026 World Cup Czar will also offer remarks. Following the remarks, Katie Horan, reporter from THE CITY, and Ben Max, Program Director of the Center for New York City and State Law, will moderate a panel featuring: Jeanny Pak, Interim President/CEO of NYC EDC; Tom Russell, Founder, Governors Ball Music Festival; Anthony Sama, Executive Director, Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park; Shanel Thomas-Henry, New York City Council Member District 21; Thomas Grech, President & CEO, Queens Chamber of Commerce.
