Chaka Khan characterized the year-long Queens Tour as grueling, saying the demanding schedule left her relieved it was over, in remarks to People published Tuesday, June 2. The Queens Tour brought Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle and Stephanie Mills together for sold-out performances nationwide. The artists performed their biggest hits and ended the run on Sunday, May 31, in Jacksonville, Florida. Khan said the collaboration was marked by mutual respect and long-standing friendships, especially with LaBelle and Knight. She noted they had not toured at that pace in many years and described the experience as ‘totally work’ from one stage to the next.
