MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Riley County police on Wednesday night arrested a teen in connection with an assault that was reported in May in Manhattan, officials said.
The 15-year-old boy was arrested around 7:18 p.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of Poyntz Avenue in Manhattan on a Riley County District Court warrant charging him with aggravated battery, officials said.

The arrest stemmed from a report originally filed in May 2026, officials said.
The teen, who was issued no bond, was being held at the Southeast Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Girard as of Thursday morning, officials said.
