Construction is ramping up at the former ShopRite on Staten Island, as it transforms into a Toyota dealership expected to be New York City’s largest. The nearly 60,000-square-foot project is being built at 2424 Hylan Blvd. in New Dorp, where the grocery store closed in 2020 and moved to The Boulevard shopping center. Marcello Sciarrino said the dealership will triple service capacity and bring a super-modern showroom. He also said 60 to 100 jobs will be created when the dealership opens in November.
