The tiny dog run beside the Port Authority ramps on 10th Avenue is expected to close within weeks — but after two years of community pressure, Astro’s now has a temporary site nearby.

For more than two decades, Astro’s Dog Run has occupied one of those odd little Hell’s Kitchen spaces that only this neighborhood could turn into a community asset: a fenced-in gravel run tucked beside the Port Authority Bus Terminal ramps on 10th Avenue, near W39th Street, with buses, concrete barriers and Midtown towers all around.
