PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Anika Rigby of Lincoln High School is your 2026 Portland Rose Festival Queen!

Anika was crowned at the public coronation ceremony Friday morning in Oregon Square at the Gazebo.

You can rewatch the coronation ceremony below:

The Queen’s Coronation is one of the Rose Festival’s most enduring traditions and serves as the culmination of the annual Rose Festival Court Program. The event is open to the public and will offer standing-room-only attendance.

As the selected queen, Anika will represent Portland and the Rose Festival for one year, making appearances throughout the United States and abroad as an ambassador for the city and the festival.

Judges choose the queen from the Rose Festival Court based on leadership, scholarship, school activities, civic involvement, volunteer service, communication skills and overall impression.

The Rose Festival Court is composed of up to 15 outstanding young women selected from high schools throughout the Portland metropolitan area. Following their selection in March, court members participate in orientation meetings throughout April before beginning a series of community appearances in May.

The coronation continues a longstanding Rose Festival tradition that highlights student achievement, leadership and community service. Last year, Ava Rathi of Lincoln High School was crowned the 2025 Rose Festival Queen.
