Olympic champions Eliud Kipchoge and Sifan Hassan will make their much-anticipated New York City Marathon debuts on Sunday, 2 November.

The global superstars will line up in the final World Marathon Major of 2025, where they will take on some of the best distance athletes on the planet.

In what is likely to be his last World Marathon Major race, Kipchoge takes on Dutch defending champion Abdi Nageeye and Kenyan compatriots and former champions Evans Chebet and Albert Korir.

To add to the intrigue, Kipchoge also gets to renew his rivalry against Ethiopian legend Kenenisa Bekele.

Reigning Olympic marathon champion Hassan will have her work cut out in the women’s race against Kenyan rivals Hellen Obiri and Sharon Lokedi, the third and fourth-place finishers in Paris 2024.
