Deterministic just keeps on rolling. The 5-year-old Liam’s Map horse notched his fifth consecutive graded stakes victory in scoring a repeat victory in the Manhattan Stakes (G1T) June 6 at Saratoga Race Course.
Rating in second early in the 1 3/16-mile turf race under Kendrick Carmouche, as Rhetorical set the pace with fractions of :22.99, :47.01, 1:09.83, and 1:32.92, Deterministic went after the leader leaving the second turn. Putting Rhetorical away in midstretch, he pulled clear and outlasted Test Score by a half-length. He won in course record time of 1:50.50, returning $11.84 to win.
