State Police said flames erupted about 11 p.m. in the small home. One person was carried out of the home, but later died of their injuries. A second person, police said, was found dead inside.
Neighbors told NewsChannel 13 that they heard several pops and bangs and suspect propane tanks may have exploded. The station also reported that most of the damage was in the rear of the home, built in 1943.
Saratoga County Fire Investigators and state fire investigators responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
