WEST CARTHAGE, New York (WWNY) – A 74-year-old woman was airlifted to a Syracuse hospital after a head-on crash in West Carthage.
State police said it happened shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday morning on State Route 26 at Martin Street Road.
According to troopers, a vehicle driven by Christopher Pominville, 20, of Carthage, crossed into the oncoming lane and hit another vehicle head-on.
Police said the other driver, Susanne Blinebry, 74, of Carthage, was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers said Pominville failed to stay in his lane and was issued tickets.
