Bronx detectives are looking for two suspects tied to a deadly shooting just after midnight on Monday that claimed a man’s life.
Police sources said the shooting occurred at about 12:08 a.m. on June 8 at the corner of East 207th Street and Decatur Avenue in Williamsbridge.
Officers from the 52nd Precinct rushed to the scene after receiving a 911 call of an assault in progress and rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, the cops discovered a 23-year-old man, later identified as Jaden Purvis of Crotona Park East in the Bronx, unconscious and unresponsive. Purvis had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the left and right sides of the chest and left knee.
The victim was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital by EMS, where he was pronounced dead.

So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation. Police say they are looking to question two men who were last seen entering a black BMW before fleeing northbound on Parkside Avenue.

According to NYPD data, shooting victims are slightly up this year compared to the same time last year in the confines of the 52nd Precinct. As of May 31, there have been six shooting victims in the area compared to five in 2025.
