With early voting for the 2026 primary elections in New York City set to begin on Saturday, June 13, and general polls opening on Tuesday, June 23, Queens residents should be familiar with what local offices are at stake and who the candidates are for these positions.

Those looking to find their closest voting sites within the borough can do so by going to nycvotes.org, clicking on “Find My Poll Site” and entering their address in the tab they are redirected to. Early voting locations can also be found there.

Democratic candidates for the State Comptroller include incumbent Thomas P. DiNapoli and challengers Drew Warshaw and Raj Goyle.

Civil Court Judge candidates in the Democratic Party include John J. Ciafone, Julie M. Milner, Edward Irazarry and Edmond Wong.

Congressional Primaries

3rd Congressional District: Democratic incumbent Thomas R. Suozzi will be challenged by Danielle Welch. Candidates in the Republican Primary include Michael J. LiPetri Jr. and Greg Hach.

6th Congressional District: Democratic incumbent Grace Meng is being challenged by Chuck Park.

7th Congressional District: Those vying for the Democratic nomination to replace outgoing Rep. Nydia Velázquez are Vichal Kumar, Antonio Reynoso, Claire Valdez and Julie Won.

14th Congressional District: Incumbent Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is looking to hold off challengers Felipe Garcia and Marty Dolan in the Democratic primaries.

State Senate Primaries

12th Senatorial District: Democrats looking to succeed outgoing state Sen. Michael Gianaris include Steven B. Raga and Aber Kawas.

13th Senatorial District: Democratic incumbent Jessica Ramos is being challenged by Hiram Monserrate and Jessica González-Rojas.

15th Senatorial District: Incumbent Joseph P. Addabbo Jr. will go up against Albert Baldeo in the Democratic primaries.

State Assembly Primaries

23rd Assembly District: The Democrats seeking to replace outgoing Assemblymember Stacey Pheffer Amato include Pesach Osina and Mike Scala.

26th Assembly District: Republicans Robert J. Speranza and Philip Sean Grillo are seeking their party’s nomination to go up against Democratic incumbent Edward Braunstein.

28th Assembly District: Incumbent Andrew Hevesi will look to resecure the Democratic nomination over challenger Jonathan Rinaldi.

30th Assembly District: With Steven B. Raga set to leave this position to run for Senate, Democratic primary candidates include Somnath Ghimire, Patrick Martinez and Shamsul Haque.

32nd Assembly District: With Democratic incumbent Vivian Cook not seeking re-election, candidates from the party looking to succeed her include Mohammed J. Molla, Latoya L. LeGrand, Tunisia Morrison, Queen Johnson and Nathaniel Hezekiah III.

33rd Assembly District: Democratic incumbent Clyde Vanel is facing off against challenger Oster Bryan.

34th Assembly District: With Democratic incumbent Jessica González-Rojas now running for Senate, the party candidates who hope to take her place include Brian Romero and Rosa Sanchez.

36th Assembly District: The former district of Mayor Zohran Mamdani features incumbent Diana C. Moreno facing off against Mary Jobaida and Kevin P. Coenen in the Democratic primaries. Moreno won a special election for the seat last February.

37th Assembly District: Democratic incumbent Claire Valdez will not be seeking re-election, as she is now running for Congress. Her party’s candidates to replace her include Samantha Kattan, Pia Rahman and Melissa Orlando.

38th Assembly District: Democratic incumbent Jenifer Rajkumar is being challenged by David Orkin, Catalina Cruz and Yonel E. Lettellier Sosa.
