A nationally recognized youth program focused on filmmaking, content creation, gaming, podcasting, animation, and digital storytelling is coming to Queens this summer.
Creator Camp, which gained national attention following an appearance on Shark Tank, will launch summer programming at The S.T.A.R.S. Community Center from June 22 through August 28. The program gives kids hands-on experience creating films, podcasts, games, music, YouTube-style content, and digital media projects in a collaborative environment designed around creativity, technology, communication, and entrepreneurship.
Programs are designed for children ages 5–13 and aim to help students develop creative, technical, and collaborative skills through hands-on project-based learning. “We’re excited to bring something this creative and current directly into the Howard Beach community,” said Frances Scarantino, Founder & President of The S.T.A.R.S. Community Center. “Creator Camp gives kids the opportunity to explore filmmaking, gaming, digital storytelling, and content creation in a hands-on, collaborative environment that feels connected to where this generation is heading.”
