A woman was arrested Friday after a bomb threat forced an evacuation at JFK Airport, officials say.
Shortly before 8 a.m., the woman allegedly told an airline employee at a check-in counter in Terminal 4 that she had a bomb in her bag, the Port Authority says.
Cops responded, separated her from her bag, and started a precautionary evacuation.
The NYPD Bomb Squad and the Port Authority Police Department were deployed to the scene. The departure level of Terminal 4 was temporarily closed. A sweep found nothing nefarious, and terminal operations resumed.
No other details about the woman were immediately available.
