MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Riley County police officers filed a report of fraud Thursday morning after a woman reported losing more than $1,000 in the case.
Officials said the incident was reported at approximately 9 a.m. Thursday in Manhattan.
A 47-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported that an unknown person used information obtained through an online job application on Facebook to open various accounts, while the victim provided the alleged scammers with gift cards.

The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,153.
