Sony Music will release a 7-inch vinyl of Billy Joel’s classic song, “New York State of Mind,” this summer via Legacy Recordings. Pressed on orange vinyl, Side A features Joel’s classic rendition of “New York State of Mind,” with Side B capturing a live performance of the song from Madison Square Garden – bringing the song home to the city that defined it.
The limited-edition NY Fan Edition is only available to pre-order through June 18th, with an August 28th ship date.

The iconic 100th performance of the Piano Man’s Madison Square Garden residency was immortalized on March 28, 2024.
