Brooklyn detectives are questioning a suspect in a deadly shooting on Friday afternoon.
Police said the homicide happened just before 3:30 p.m. on June 12 outside an apartment building at 261 Lenox Road in Flatbush.
Officers from the 67th Precinct responded to a 911 call about a reported shooting at the location. When they arrived, they found the victim, a 52-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

EMS rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital in critical condition; he was later pronounced dead. Police have not yet released his identity, pending family notification.
During the investigation, police took a person of interest into custody at the scene for further questioning. Charges are pending the results of the ongoing investigation.
Through June 7, the 67th Precinct reported just two homicides year-to-date, down from six at the same point last year. The command had also just three shootings, down from 14 at the same time in 2025.
