Brooklyn Beckham unsurprisingly snubbed his dad David on a very special day that saw the entire Beckham clan turn out, except for him.
Today marked the momentous day David Beckham got honoured with a coveted star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame.
David’s wife Victoria Beckham and three of their children, Harper Seven, Cruz and Romeo were all in attendance at the event.
Brooklyn failed to show up to the very special event despite living down the road from the Los Angeles location that the unveiling took place.
Brooklyn, 27, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, live in Los Angeles, yet did not show up.
As David gave his speech before unveiling the star, he mentioned his children – but did not name them individually.
“My beautiful children who are the reason I get out of bed in the morning,” he said while choking back tears.
“Kids, I hope you bring my grandchildren here one day and tell them about a boy who dreamed big,” he added.
The son of David and Victoria launched a nuclear attack on his “controlling” parents and vowed not to reconcile with them in a shock statement shared earlier this year.
Brooklyn said at the start of the year that he did “not want to reconcile” with his family, and accused his parents of “controlling” the narrative.
His initial statement read: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.
“Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
He then went on to recall the night of his wedding and how his mother danced in an “inappropriate way”.
Brooklyn also sent his parents David and Victoria a legal notice warning they can now contact him only via lawyers.
The extraordinary “desist” letter also instructed them not to “tag” him on social media.
Back in March, Becks was in LA for work following a ski break in Canada with son Romeo.
While in Los Angeles, David sadly did not meet up with his son to repair their relationship.
A source told us at the time: “David was in Los Angeles for a new ad campaign, but given Brooklyn’s decision to cut off his family, there was no meeting between them.
“David had just come back from a skiing trip with Romeo and friends in Canada when he flew to Los Angeles for work.
“Brooklyn would have just been miles away from him in the house he shares with Nicola.”
The Sun first revealed last year how Brooklyn had cut off his family in a multi-pronged row.
In October, insiders confirmed that Brooklyn had no interest in making amends with his family.
By January, he was communicating with them through lawyers. Days later, Brooklyn released the bombshell statement confirming the story.
