SAN ANTONIO, Tex. (WIBW) – Former Kansas guard Kevin McCullar Jr. became the 17th player in school history to win an NBA championship.
McCullar Jr. started 59 games for the Jayhawks in 2 seasons from 2022-24. He began his career at Texas Tech. McCullar was a 2nd round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
McCullar Jr. was acquired by the New York Knicks around mid-season. He averaged 2.4 points on 42.6% shooting in the 2025-26 season.
McCullar Jr. did not appear in any games during the playoffs. The Knicks clinched their first NBA title in over 50 years last night with a win against the San Antonio Spurs.
