ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester’s Public Market hosted another community garage sale on Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Shoppers had plenty of vendors to choose from, including some selling clothing, tools, toys and home decor. People also browsed jewelry and handbags.
Bargain hunters shopped through new and old items from dozens of vendors. The market also had coffee shops and cafes for those looking for a quick snack.
A member of the Great New York State Flea talked about the importance of the team up with the Rochester Public Market.
“It means a lot. I’m very grateful for the opportunity. Myself and all the board members, very grateful, and it just means a lot because we’re used to seeing Saturday be the time, and the move and groove. But, we need almsot any day the market is open to be move-in’ and groove-in’, because Rochester, we need each other,” said Marcel McCollough.
The next Great New York State Flea event will take place at the Public Market on July 12. The theme will be called ROC-chella.
The garage sales will be held throughout the summer and fall.
