Saturday, June 13 may have been a highly-anticipated date for Swifties and Rhode Islanders alike, but it appears it was just another day for Taylor Swift herself.
The day has long been rumored to be the date of Swift and Kelce’s Rhode Island wedding, with Page Six first announcing the date and location in December 2025. However, Watch Hill was quiet on June 13, with no public sighting of Swift or Kelce.
Is there any chance the celebrity wedding of the decade happened quietly in Rhode Island on June 13? Here’s what we know.
Was Taylor Swift in Rhode Island on June 13?

Not that we know of. In fact, on Saturday, June 13, Taylor Swift was photographed with Travis Kelce in New York City, seeing “Oh! Mary” on Broadway and then going out to dinner.
The outing is Swift’s latest in a string of appearances in New York, including her attendance at Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on June 10 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony on June 11.
Despite Swift’s presence in New York and a quiet Saturday in Watch Hill, rumors of wedding bells persisted in the Rhode Island community. Kelly Lichtenberger and Andrea Paxton, visitors from Connecticut, told The Providence Journal that they overheard security guards at the end of Swift’s driveway saying the famous couple would be flying into Groton-New London Airport later on Saturday, June 13.
While the flight (or even drive) would certainly be an easy trip from New York City, there is no proof the star-studded couple traveled, with their latest public sighting leaving dinner in New York on the night of Saturday, June 13.

When will Taylor Swift get married?
In December 2025, Page Six stated the wedding date as Saturday, June 13, and the theory quickly spread due to Swift’s love of numerology: 13 is known to be her lucky number. However, in April 2026, Page Six updated the wedding date to Friday, July 3, citing the save-the-dates.
One of Swift’s favorite holidays is the Fourth of July. If the singer did host her wedding over Independence Day weekend, her nuptials would join a long list of star-studded parties she has hosted for the holiday – all of which have been in Rhode Island.
Still, other Swifties believe the popstar will not reveal a wedding date to the public at all, or even that her and Kelce have already tied the knot in secret. One fan theory believes that the couple wed over the first weekend in June 2026 while Swift’s fans were distracted by the promo and release for her new original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” from “Toy Story 5.”

Where will Taylor Swift’s wedding be?

At this point, it seems unlikely that Swift and Kelce will get married in Rhode Island, though there was a lot of speculation about it in the months following their engagement announcement.
Page Six first reported that the couple would get married in the Ocean State back in September 2025, citing a secret insider source. A few days later, Realtor.com columnist Kelsi Karruli reported that Swift and Kelce had chosen the singer’s oceanside estate in Watch Hill as their wedding venue.
A December 2025 exclusive from Page Six reported that the couple planned to get married at Ocean House, an award-winning seaside resort located within eye’s view of Swift’s Rhode Island house.

However, in April 2026, Page Six reported that the couple would instead wed in New York City. A June 5 report from TMZ agreed with the New York theory, claiming Madison Square Garden to be the wedding venue.
When did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce get engaged?
On Aug. 26 2025, Swift announced her engagement to Travis Kelce on Instagram.
“Your English teacher and gym teacher are getting married,” the superstar captioned a series of photos of the newly engaged couple in a rose garden, reportedly in the backyard of Kelce’s Kansas City home.
Swift began dating Kelce in 2023, after the football player attended the Eras Tour concert in Kansas City on July 8 that year. Kelce afterwards admitted on a “New Heights” podcast episode that he wanted to gift Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but he failed to meet her at the concert.
After months of speculation, Swift made their relationship official by appearing at the Chiefs game on Sept. 24, 2023, during which she sat with his mom, Donna Kelce. The pair have been steadily dating since then, with Swift attending various Chiefs games and Kelce attending various concerts during The Eras Tour.
