The event will take place between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 28th.
“Every student deserves access to opportunities that help them achieve their full potential,” Dr. Kinna Perry, Jersey City Public Schools Foundation Chair Dr. Kinna Perry said in a statement.
“This fundraiser is an opportunity for our community to come together and invest in the future of Jersey City’s children. The support we receive helps create pathways to success both inside and outside the classroom.”
Founded to provide additional support for the students and schools of Jersey City and to provide the district with a non-profit arm in order to apply for certain grants, the Foundation has already begun making a meaningful impact.
Following its inaugural fundraiser in 2025, the JCPSF awarded scholarships to graduating seniors representing public high schools across the district.
The foundation is also working in partnership with district leadership to pursue grant funding aimed at improving athletic fields and recreational facilities for students, and has liaised with the city and county offices to help facilitate funding for recent renovations at Caven Point Athletic Field.
The event will celebrate the achievements of Jersey City students, present this year’s scholarship winners, and highlight the critical role community leaders and partners play in supporting public education during school funding cuts.
Funds raised will help the foundation continue expanding its scholarship program, pursue additional grant opportunities, and support initiatives that directly benefit students and schools.
