The New York State Independent Redistricting Commission met in Albany on Tuesday for the first time since state lawmakers initiated New York’s official entrance into the nationwide redistricting wars. This month, state lawmakers in the Democrat-led Legislature passed a constitutional amendment allowing for mid-decade redistricting under certain circumstances along with other reforms.
