As England won its first World Cup 2026 game 4-2 over Croatia, British brand Burberry gathered a group of stars in the West Village at the restaurant Corner Bistro to celebrate its ten-day takeover of the iconic bar and the new campaign, “A Good Sport.” Guests who were there to watch England’s first group stage match included Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee, The White Lotus star Adam DiMarco, Ella Emhoff, USWNT players Kelley O’Hara and Rose Lavelle, Industry actress Myha’la, Lynn Yaeger, and more.

Inside the Corner Bistro, bar‑stool cushions are wrapped in a custom Burberry check (incorporating the green of Corner Bistro’s signature awning), and custom pint glasses and mugs feature the Burberry Knight. The menu will offer “English summer staples such as fruit punch and beer, served alongside Corner Bistro’s signature burger and fries with traditional condiments,” per the brand. Corner Bistro and Burberry are set to host a program of events and World Cup screenings until June 28. Here, a look inside the evening:
