BROOKLYN, New York (WABC) — Firefighters are working to put out a massive fire at a church in Brooklyn on Friday.

The fire broke out at the South Bushwick Reformed Church at 855 Bushwick Ave. near Himrod Street just before 1:30 p.m., according to the FDNY.

They say heavy fire was reported in the church, which extended to surrounding properties.

The fire reached a third alarm around 1:45 p.m.

Sixty-three units and nearly 200 fire and EMS personnel are working at the scene.

Officials say no injuries have been reported so far.

Operations are ongoing.
