A Brooklyn man was arrested on Friday morning and booked at the 107th Precinct in Fresh Meadows where he was charged with attempted murder and other crimes for shoving an F train rider onto the tracks at the Parsons Boulevard subway station in Jamaica Hills late last month.
Detectives from the 107th Precinct had an idea of who the suspect was and they went to an area that he normally frequents, and they apprehended Terrell Jarrett, 37, of 50th Street in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn, according to a law enforcement source.
Police say the unprovoked attack occurred on the southbound F train platform at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, where a 63-year-old male victim was sitting when Jarrett approached him wearing a fur-lined winter hat. The two men became allegedly engaged in a verbal dispute. The argument escalated into violence when Jarrett allegedly pushed him head-first onto the southbound track bed below. The man sustained a laceration to his head and nose and bruising to his arms, police said. Jarrett fled the station on foot onto Hillside Avenue and ran off in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
Jarett was also charged with assault and reckless endangerment and his arraignment in Queens Criminal Court is pending.
