Dairy Queen coming to site of former Canfield, Ohio, Perkin’s, building demolition starts this week

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) — A once-famous eatery, which has been empty for years in Canfield, is going to come down.

Demolition will begin this week on the building. The property will become the newest Dairy Queen drive-thru location.

Ray and Chrissy Smith expect it to open in the spring. They operate multiple Dairy Queens in the area.

Canfield’s Dairy Queen location on the Village Green will remain open. The Smiths say they have no plans to sell the existing store.
