A 42-year-old man died after lingering for more than a week with a head injury after being struck by the driver of a 2017 KIA Sorento in Queens earlier this month, cops said Saturday.

George Robinson was within a mile of his home in Far Rockaway on June 7 when he stepped into the westbound lane of Beach Channel Dr. near Horton Ave. around 11 p.m. and was hit by the 32-year-old SUV driver heading west on Beach Channel Dr., police said.

EMS transported Robinson to Jamaica Hospital with a head injury, where he died Wednesday.

The driver stayed at the scene. He was not arrested as the NYPD Highway District Collision Investigation Squad investigated the incident.
