MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was arrested Sunday in Manhattan on a pair of warrants charging him with methamphetamine possession and other offenses, officials said.
The arrested man was identified as John Swartz, 54, of Manhattan.
Riley County police officials said Swartz was arrested around 6:20 p.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of Anderson Avenue on two Riley County District Court warrants.

Officials said Swartz’ arrest stemmed from original charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and battery.
Swartz was issued a total bond of $8,000 and was being held in the Riley County Jail.
