The American Soccer Club New York Fighting Tomcats established a home attendance record of 1,650 for their 0-0 draw with Osner’s FC at Mitchel Athletic Complex on Wednesday night.

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – The American Soccer Club New York Fighting Tomcats established a home attendance record of 1,650 for their 0-0 draw with Osner’s FC at Mitchel Athletic Complex on Wednesday night.

It was “Irish Heritage Night”, presented by Bolla Market, with the first 100 fans in attendance receiving a $25 gas card courtesy of Bolla Market in the National Premier Soccer League game.

In addition, Allegany Elementary School fifth grader Charlotte O’Flaherty delivered a stirring rendition of the national anthem and the Fighting Tomcats also recognized the Suffolk County champions, the Northport High School boys and sirls soccer teams during a special pregame ceremony.

Adding to the evening’s pageantry, the Tara Pipes and Drums of Massapequa and members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians performed a memorable halftime show.

“This record-setting attendance of 1,650 fans is a reflection of something much bigger than a single match,” American Soccer Club NY managing partner and general manager Jim Kilmeade saidin a statement. “It speaks to the growing relationships we’ve worked hard to build with local clubs, players, coaches, and families. We are all about Long Island’s community-based soccer clubs and creating meaningful opportunities for young players throughout the region. We believe the future of the game is built at the grassroots level, and we’re proud to partner with organizations that share our vision of developing players and growing the sport in our communities. It was so fitting that this happened on Bolla Market Night, as we will be launching the first fully funded Youth Academy in 2026 with Bolla Market investing in this initiative.”

American Soccer Club NY will host the New York Cosmos in an exhibition match on Wednesday June 24th at Lavalle Stadium on the campus of Stony Brook University on Wednesday, June 24. The game will be the “Kick ALS Cup” with kickoff is set for 7 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will benefit ALS Ride for Life. Tickets are available on the Fighting Tomcats’ website www.ascnewyork.com.
