Police have released images of the gunman they say shot two men inside a Brooklyn event space on Friday.
The suspect has been on the lam since the early hours of June 19, when they say he opened fire in a popular East Williamsburg venue. Cops say the incident unfolded inside of the Brooklyn Monarch, located at 23 Meadow Street, at around 2:38 a.m. The night spot, which hosts watch parties for the World Cup, live music, and private events, became a shooting range when a man opened fire inside.
Police report the rounds struck a 33-year-old party-goer in the thigh, while a second, unidentified man was hit in the left arm, left hip, and left buttocks. Both victims managed to make their own way to Woodhull Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition and are expected to survive.
Meanwhile, the gunman fled the venue on foot. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with the image of a shark on it. No arrests have been made in connection to the wild shooting.
Shooting incidents are slightly up in the confines of the 90th Precinct, where this incident took place. As of June 1st, 2026, five people have been shot in the area compared to just two in 2025.
