Buffalo’s Charter Revision Commission is examining proposed changes to the city’s founding document.
It comes as they prepare to finalize what charter proposals will be voted on by Buffalo community members this fall.
At a meeting Thursday night, members discussed amendments to their own commission. If approved, the commission will meet every 10 years following the U.S. Census count.
Some members also proposed language that would prevent city workers or members of other commissions from joining the charter revision team.
They’re hoping to finalize what proposals will be included by July 20 at the latest.
The revision referendum must be submitted to the board of elections by Aug. 3 so it can be included on the ballot in November.
