Brooklyn Public Library is releasing a limited-edition library card in honor of Bedford-Stuyvesant native Jay-Z.
The billionaire hip-hop titan, 56, born Shawn Carter, will be honored with the JAŸ-Z 30 Limited Edition Library Card, starting Thursday, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his debut album, “Reasonable Doubt,” according to Roc Nation’s Instagram and a press release shared with the Daily News.
The card — a collaborative effort with the entertainment company, which Carter founded in 2008 — will be available across BPL systems on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to celebrating “Reasonable Doubt,” the card is also dropping just in time for the Grammy winner’s upcoming slate of Yankee Stadium shows from July 10-12.
Roc Nation said on Instagram said that JAŸ-Z will also get a shoutout at Marcy Library, not far from the Marcy Houses where he grew up, which will have “a curated display of books that have influenced JAŸ-Z’s life and career.”
The multimedia outfit and BPL previously collaborated in 2023 on “The Book of HOV” exhibition and 13 limited-edition cards featuring artwork from JAŸ-Z’s albums — spurring over 36,000 library card accounts.
