Tony Award-winning Best Musical Maybe Happy Ending is set to become the longest-running show in the history of the Belasco Theatre, and the hit production is hosting a fan event to celebrate.

On July 7, Maybe Happy Ending will play its 688th performance, surpassing the previous record of 687 performances, established by the play Dead End in 1937. To mark the occasion on July 7, Maybe Happy Ending will host Party Like It’s 2064 Fan Event: This Is Where You Belong.

That evening’s performance will include custom merchandise gifts for the entire audience, HwaBoon photo opportunities, and a post-show Q&A and sing-a-long with the current cast. The first 20 fans dressed in cosplay for the celebration will also receive autographed Playbills.

There will be a special digital lottery for the performance. The lottery will open to the public midnight June 24. All available tickets will be priced $68.80 (including fees) to highlight the 688th performance. There will be drawings July 1, July 2, and July 3 for this limited ticket offer. The lottery will be coordinated via Telecharge.

The musical opened at the Belasco November 12, 2024. The work, featuring a Tony-winning book and score by Hue Park and Will Aronson, was the most Tony-winning show of the 2024-2025 season. The show was also one of three productions to be the most nominated of the season, with nods in 10 categories.

The musical follows Oliver and Claire, South Korea-based Helperbots that have been deemed obsolete. The pair form an unlikely bond, setting off a surprising and romantic adventure. Zachary Noah Piser (KPOP) and Hannah Kevitt currently star, alongside original company members Dez Duron and Marcus Choi. Casting is by Telsey & Co’s Craig Burns.

Two-time Tony winner Michael Arden directs, leading a creative team that also includes scenic and additional video designer Dane Laffrey, costume designer Clint Ramos, lighting designer Ben Stanton, sound designer Peter Hylenski, video designer George Reeve, music supervisor Deborah Abramson, and music director John Yun.
