GALLATIN, N.Y. — A Red Hook man died Sunday after losing control of his motorcycle and striking a car head-on, state police said Wednesday.
At about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 21, Nicholas H. Hedges, 30, of Red Hook, lost control of a 2014 Ducati motorcycle in the vicinity of Jackson Corners and Hoefer roads in this Columbia County town.
State police at Livingston responded to the collision after being dispatched by Columbia County 911.
The motorcycle slid from the eastbound lane into the westbound lane, where it struck a 2025 Kia head-on, according to authorities. The Kia was driven by Michael Mojica, 43, of Elizaville.
