BROOKLYN, N.Y. (KLTV) — Former Van Vandal Hoss Brewer earned his second win of the season for Brooklyn in an 8-7 victory over Jersey Shore on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old right-hander entered the game in the top of the ninth and also pitched the 10th, allowing one hit and one walk with no runs while striking out four. Brewer entered the game with the score tied at 7 and earned the win after Brooklyn scored a walk-off run in the bottom of the 10th.
Through 27 2/3 innings, Brewer (2-3) has 30 strikeouts and a 4.23 ERA.
Brooklyn (26-43) is in sixth place in its division. The Cyclones continue the series against Jersey Shore on Wednesday at 5:40 p.m.
