Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift reportedly have a lofty demand for their upcoming wedding.
TMZ shocked the sports world earlier this month when it reported that Kelce and Swift will get married at Madison Square Garden, the home of the New York Knicks. The initial reports claimed their wedding ceremony would take place at the Grammy winner’s $17 million home in Rhode Island.
“Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ between 1,100 and 1,200 people will show up at MSG July 3 to watch the couple become husband and wife,” TMZ said. “We’re told Taylor and Travis have gone to great lengths to ensure privacy, and that includes communicating with invitees by text, rather than physical invitations.”
If Kelce and Swift are truly getting married in New York City this July, it could be a madhouse on the day of their wedding. Apparently, they’re trying to get in front of that problem.

According to the New York Post, the power couple wants the streets around Madison Square Garden closed on their wedding day.
“The permit, filed by Winick Productions in June, asked for street closures around MSG and for a public tent to be set up outside the venue, which will include 500 to 999 attendees,” the New York Post reported. “In addition, a source told Page Six that Kansas City Chiefs players have reservations at Marriott Marquis in Midtown around the wedding date.”
It’s going to be an expensive wedding.
Darren Olarsch, founder of On The Move Entertainment, believes Kelce and Swift’s wedding could cost $3 million.
“What might be a $300,000 wedding somewhere else, inside the Garden would be $3 million,” Olarsch said.
Olarsch claims the production team would need to build structures that would “bring down the scale” of MSG and make it feel more “romantic, close and intimate.”
Obviously, Kelce and Swift shouldn’t have an issue affording such a hefty price for their wedding.
