New York City Emergency Management is warning residents about two fireworks displays scheduled for Wednesday over the Hudson and East rivers.
According to the city’s Notify NYC alert, the first display is set for 8:30 p.m. tomorrow night, Thursday, June 25. A separate fireworks display is also listed for Wards Island at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, with a rain date of Friday, June 26.
The alert did not include additional details about viewing areas, closures or transit impacts.
The city’s 311 listing identifies the Hudson River display as taking place at Pier 61 and says both waterfront shows are sponsored by Roc Nation, while the Wards Island display is tied to the 42nd anniversary of Astoria’s Independence Day celebration.
