KINGSTON – A Brooklyn man is under arrest after State Police found drugs in his vehicle while driving in the City of Kingston.
Quavon Travis, 32, failed to comply when troopers tried to stop him for a traffic check on Washington Avenue. During the pursuit, the 2019 Kia he was driving, sideswiped a 2011 Ford before leaving the scene.
Travis stopped his car on Colonial Drive and fled on foot, but was aught a short time later.
A search of his car revealed some 14.2 grams of Adderall and some 4.36 grams of Percocet.
He was charged with felony and misdemeanor drug possession, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and several traffic tickets.
Travis also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and State Parole for a parole violation.
He was remanded to the Ulster County Jail pending a future court appearance.
