Police are on the hunt for two men who brutally beat and stabbed a 74-year-old man, a good Samaritan, aboard an Upper West Side bus earlier this month.
According to police sources, the disturbing incident unfolded at about 8:30 a.m. on June 5 aboard an M104 MTA bus as it traveled near Broadway and West 92nd Street.
Cops say two men on the bus were yelling at a mother with a baby carriage to get out of their way when the senior stepped in and asked the loudmouthed pair to leave her alone.
Enraged, police reported, the men punched the victim about the head and body. During the attack, one of the perpetrators pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the left shoulder.
The two men fled the bus on foot following the bloody attack. Officers from the 24th Precinct later responded to the scene.
Meanwhile, EMS brought the 74-year-old man to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and listed in stable condition.
Police described one of the suspects as wearing a white shirt and red and black shorts, while the other is described as wearing a black shirt and grey shorts.
No arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.
