For more than 70 years, the Bronx County Historical Society has served as a cultural institution dedicated to documenting and preserving the history of the borough.

Next week, members will kick off their own celebration for America250 with the launch of the new permanent exhibit at the Museum of Bronx History, entitled “The Bronx: Crucible of Liberty. Radicals, Runaways, & Revolutionaries.”

Steven Payne, the director of the Bronx County Historical Society, joined “The Rush Hour” on Thursday to talk about the Bronx’s significance in the American Revolution.
