BAY RIDGE — THE NATHAN R. SOBEL American Inns of Court, a Brooklyn-based legal association affiliated with the national American Inns of Court network that promotes professionalism, ethics, civility and excellence in the legal profession, will hold its end-of-term gala the evening of June 29. The event will take place at Chadwick’s restaurant, located at 8822 Third Ave.
President Leslie Kelmachter, Esq., told the Brooklyn Eagle that the organization will be installing its new officers from June 2026 through June 2027, “and our tradition is to keep the speeches short.”
“We are also very pleased that Judge Genine Edwards will be attending,” Kelmachter said. Kelmachter, who is a prominent trial attorney at Silver & Kelmachter, LLP, is past president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and an accomplished trial attorney with decades of experience representing plaintiffs in complex medical malpractice, personal injury, and product liability cases.
Kelmachter has served as chair of the Tort Litigation Committee of the New York City Bar Association and as a member of the Judiciary Committee of the New York City Bar Association. She is also an author and nationally recognized lecturer.
