SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WFSB) – A woman and man from New York were arrested for trying to use fraudulent credit cards at a couple Connecticut Costco stores, South Windsor police said.
They identified the suspects as 35-year-old Brittany Howard of Bronx, NY, and 34-year-old Kasheem Williams of Brooklyn, NY.

Howard and Williams were arrested on Sunday, police said.
Officers said they responded to the Costco on Tamarack Avenue in South Windsor for reports of two shoplifting suspects actively stealing from the store and trying to pay at the self-checkout with fraudulent credit cards.
“Employees were notified that these two suspects, later identified as Howard and Williams, had just attempted the same thing at Costco in Enfield,” said Lt. Mark Cleverdon, South Windsor police. “Officers arrived on scene and both parties were taken into custody.”
Police said they found 28 credit cards with different names on them in their vehicle, along with items believed to have been stolen from the Enfield location.
Howard was found to have an extraditable warrant out of Hudson County, NJ for credit card theft, while Williams had an extraditable warrant out of Suffolk County, NY for multiple charges including burglary, strangulation, and assault.
South Windsor police charged Howard and Williams with second-degree larceny, 28 counts of payment card theft, third-degree ID theft, and conspiracy to commit third-degree ID theft.
Police said both suspects were held on $250,000 surety bonds and scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court Monday morning.
