LOWER MANHATTAN (WABC) — A Lower Manhattan hotel was evacuated as a precaution after someone sprayed bear spray inside.
The spray was released just after 8 a.m. Monday on the 20th floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton New York Downtown on Stone Street.
A few people who came into contact with the spray were evaluated by EMS.
A couple hundred people in the hotel are being evacuated as the floor is ventilated.
Apparently, a dispute between two people culminated with one spraying bear spray at the other.
So far, there are no arrests.
