Fireworks sales are about to take off in Manhattan.
The city government will allow sales from noon Wednesday to midnight Friday, with discharging allowed from 8 a.m. to midnight each of those days.
There are 14 stands set up around town. Here are the names and locations of each:

While fireworks light up Independence Day celebrations, regulations are in place to keep partiers free from harm.
Federal law prohibits the sale of some fireworks designated as too dangerous, including:
Aerial bombsCherry bombsLarge firecrackers with more than 2 grains of powderLarge reloadable shellsM-80 salutesMail order kits designed to build fireworks
People are not allowed to throw fireworks in the direction of people or vehicles. They also are prohibited from discharging fireworks in streets, alleys, parks, on public property or within 100 feet of firework tents.
