Queens League, the women’s edition of the Kings League soccer competition, has signed a broadcast deal with the All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN).

Key Details:

Queens League’s 2025/26 season to air live on AWSN platform
Network to broadcast league in 65 markets around the world, including the US and Canada
AWSN is also available in India, the Nordic countries, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, sub-Saharan Africa, the UAE, and the UK

Context:

Queens League was founded by former Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué and his Kosmos investment firm in 2023. Originating in Spain, with female creators like Marina Rivers and Lucii involved as team owners, the competition has since expanded to Mexico, with Mexican creator Alana Flores among those managing its clubs.

Similarly to Kings League, Queens League has employed a digital first approach, with games streamed live on Twitch and YouTube. It has also achieved success in posting clips on social media, with the league claiming a goal from Antonela Romoleroux became the most-watched female soccer goal in internet history.

This is the latest rights deal agreed by AWSN, which was co-founded by US comedian Whoopi Goldberg and Philippines-based streaming media platform Jungo TV. The network says it reaches one billion homes around the world, and broadcasts more than 2,500 hours of live women’s sports.

Its portfolio includes the Uefa Women’s Nations League, Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour events, the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), and the International Basketball Federation’s (Fiba) 3×3 women’s series.

Comment:

“AWSN shares our belief that women’s soccer deserves the same excitement, visibility, and storytelling as the world’s greatest sports competitions,” said Djamel Agaoua, chief executive of the Queens League’s parent company, Kings League. “Queens League has had an incredible response from audiences in Spain and Latin America and we’re excited to work with AWSN to take it to new audiences in 65 countries around the world.”

“Queens League is thrilling, next-generation sports entertainment, combining the passion and intensity of football, with the world of streamers and content creators, and a rulebook that guarantees non-stop action,” added George Chung, chief executive of AWSN.  “We’re thrilled to bring this groundbreaking league to a global audience for the first time.”
